Areas Where HostGator Has It Right - HostGator Reviews
With Hostgator, my sites have been up 100% of the time. I have never had anyone complain about my site load time, and I have one site that gets over 10,000 hits a day! I can to a conclusion last month, after I moved all of my sites from 3 other hosts. HostGator is the best. It would be nice if HostGator joined the other major hosting companies and give away a free domain when you buy their packages. I would really like the free domain, but I like their service more than the free stuff. I have various heavy scripts, and they all work very well on their servers.
Build A Site With One Click?
HostGator offers Fantastico De Luxe, which will allow you to install a blog with one click. Free website templates are on their servers for you to use. They are a lot of HTML as well as Flash templates for you to use.
Price - How Much Is HostGator?
HostGator has a few different pricing plans. The pricing plans are as follows: Hatchling Plan: as low as $4.95 per month with a 3 year commitment. The downside is that you can only host one site. For under $8 a month, the Baby plan has a 36-month commitment. You are allowed unlimited sites with this plan. 36-month commitment, and $12.95 will get you the Business plan.
HostGator - Domain Registrar
It is easy to register domain names with HostGator. Each domain is going to set you back a few bucks. Make sure that your billing information is set up to auto-pay, so it will auto renew. Nothing could be worse than building an amazing site and then have it expire. You could lose your domain and you can't get it again until it drops again.
Why don't people write reviews about HostGator that are accurate or truthful? I thought I'd finally write down a truthful Hostgator Review, so you can make a informed decision about their hosting. Before we begin, you need to use some common sense. Keep in mind that most of the reviews are done by affiliates, hoping that you purchase Hostgator Hosting through their Links. If you want to read "real Customers'" of HostGator, you need to go to their forums and read the reviews posted there. For full disclosure, I write this review, and I am a customer of HostGator and one of their affiliates. If you want to learn more, go here.
